Using Just My Socks on Windows: V2Ray and Shadowsocks Setup Guide

The official Windows page is obsolete and recommends Jamjams. These steps preserve the v2rayN-Core flows for reference.

Use Jamjams first

Jamjams supports VLESS, V2Ray, and Shadowsocks and normally needs no manual configuration. Get the current Windows version from the official software downloads page.

Install v2rayN-Core

Open the active service details from Services → My Services:

Service details

Download and unzip v2rayN-Core, then open v2rayN.exe:

Launch v2rayN

If it crashes immediately, update .NET Framework 4.8. Double-click the tray icon to open the main window:

Open the main window

Configure V2Ray

Choose Servers → Add [VMess] server:

Add a VMess server

Enter the details. For TCP+TLS, enable tls and set allowInsecure to True:

Enter V2Ray parameters

Use Http proxy → Open Http proxy from the tray menu to set global system proxy:

Set the system proxy

Configure Shadowsocks

Choose Servers → Add [Shadowsocks] server:
